About the Author

Florence Candy Georgia Boyer Palangio Langan Sattenspiel

An only child whose mother died giving birth to her and who lost her father shortly after, was raised by loving relatives to become known simply as
Candy

Candy is a registered nurse, professional model, founder of Clinical Aesthetic Cosmetology Inc. and is internationally known in numerous medical academies as an authority in medical skin care.  In addition, as a plastic surgical assistant she operates with her husband, Dr. Sigmund Sattenspiel in their facial plastic surgical practice in New Jersey.

Candy’s work is as unique as she is.  The strange combinations of missionaries and actors made up her family background.  The spirituality that carried her through life is conveyed in each of her writings and combined with her photographs; they make the most impressive collection of Visual Poetry seen today.

As we photographically travel with her around the world, she shares her views with us on everything from terrorism and war to love and generosity.  Candy’s ability to dream where others are blinded, coupled with her concept of light, transforms mere words and pictures into immortality.

Three favorites are “WHO” a self-interpretation and dedication to her grandmother, Mary, found in the beginning of this book, “THE OTHERSIDE” the closing thought, which depicts her own recent near death experience followed by “IF I TO DIE” teaching us all the true value of life.  We predict each reader will have his or her own favorite.

Candy’s “thoughts”, as she call them, are actually her philosophy of life, expressed for the purpose of being known, understood, remembered,

“A Reason for Being”……

and she will be.
